Ricardo Rosselló, the embattled Governor of Puerto Rico, has announced on Wednesday that he will resign on Aug. 2, after more than a week of massive protests calling for his sacking over leaked obscene, anti-women online chat.
Rosselló took to Facebook on Wednesday that his resignation will enter into force on 5 PM on Friday.
Puerto Rico Department of Justice confirmed to Fox News on Tuesday that search warrants had been issued in an investigation of the Governor and 11 of his advisers on the question of whether you committed any crimes relating to offensive, profanity-laden online chats that were published.

The leaked discussions, reports leaked that the Governor showed himself mocking-women, homosexuals, political opponents and victims of hurricane Maria.
In a message, Rosselló allegedly called New York politician of Puerto Rican descent, a “w—e” and described another as a “daughter of the ex–h -.” A chat included vulgar references to Latin pop star Ricky Martin of his homosexuality.
On Monday, Rosselló Fox News said that he took responsibility for the corruption allegations, said of his own people, but he would not resign. Over the weekend, he said he would not choice to be again.

More than a dozen officials have already resigned, because the chats that were run.
