PSV needs to Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich might miss in the first matches played after the winter break. The defenders belong to the Australian squad for the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
The group stage, in which the ‘Socceroos’ against Jordan, Palestine and Syria play, begins for Australia on 6 January and ends nine days later. The eighth-finals start on January 20 and the final battle is on 1 February.
PSV resumed the competition on January 20, against FC Emmen, which means that Sainsbury and Behich did not have when they are with Australia the knock-out stages. As possible, they miss also the thuisduels with FC Groningen (January 27) and Fortuna Sittard (3 February). The duo is missing, anyway, at the training camp in Qatar.
Australia won three years ago, the previous edition of the Asia Cup. The 26-year-old Sainsbury, which is 41 times came out for his country, was by then already. The two-year-old Behich has 29 international matches to his name.
Both PSV’ers are working on their first season in Eindhoven, where they are mainly with a development this year and wanting to do. Former PEC Zwolle-defender Sainsbury was acquired from the Chinese Jiangsu Suning and Behich exchanged Bursaspor for the champion.

Juric missing in Australian selection
One of the most notable absent in the selection of the Australian coach Graham Arnold is Tomi Juric. The attacker, who, like Sainsbury in 41 international matches, for his Swiss club Luzern little playing time.
