PSV director Gerbrands is not in on the proposal KNVB
Toon Gerbrands, general manager of PSV, two weeks ago, do not address a proposal of the KNVB to the same function to hold at the football association.
The KNVB has been since the departure of Bert van Oostveen looking for a new ceo, and knocked at the 59-year-old Friesian, which is said not to be interested.
Last week, reported the KNVB, the new general manager from outside will be attracted. A selection committee of four men, where Gerbrands, however, sit in wild, and in the summer a candidate found.
“I’ve committed to PSV and anyone who knows me, knows that me no urge to at all, but something else to think about. I have no time doubted and I also think that there is a greater importance that any other choice would justify,” explains Gerbrands against the Eindhovens Dagblad his choice to be with PSV.
“Currently, I am only concerned with PSV and I put myself completely in for the club. Do think and help I would like to find a suitable candidate for the KNVB to find.”
Gijs de Jong, currently operations director at the KNVB, would start in August 2016, left Van Oostveen follow-up as a director. His appointment was, however, suspended following criticism of a majority of the clubs from the Eredivisie.
That resistance arose after several members of the board of commissioners decided to stop. By the search for a candidate from outside the KNVB seems impossible that The Young, the new director is.
The KNVB is also looking for three new members for the supervisory board. At the next general meeting should decisions be taken on the interpretation of the functions. That meeting is on 3 July.
