Protests in United Kingdom against state visit Trump
Thousands of opponents of Donald Trump have Monday in London for the parliament building to protest against an upcoming state visit of the American president. In the United States were once again different Trump-protests on the national holiday of President’s Day.
The protests in Britain were aimed in the direction of the Bearing housing. There was debate or Trump a royal reception of the Queen Elizabeth during the state visit.
Permier Theresa May invited Trump to later this year, probably in July, the United Kingdom to visit. The government May want the “special” relationship with the U.S. is once again tightening and until a commercial treaty is now Britain and the European Union are going to leave.
While the house of Commons held a debate about the potential to continue, and interpretation of the state visit, despite the fact that it has no power to make the invitation in May to withdraw, stood outside thousands of protesters.
“It is not so much Trump, but more what he represents. It comes to the increase of hatred and extremism. Trump is the example of what is currently wrong in the world,” says a protester.
Not only in London were demonstrations. Also in the US itself, where the national holiday, President’s Day was celebrated. Thousands were spread over dozens of cities, on the leg to go back to a sound to be heard against president Trump.
In New York, hundreds of people came to the Trump International Hotel together to demonstrate with slogans such as: “He is cheating, he is lying, open your eyes!”
