NEWARK, N. J. – Authorities say a New Jersey police officer, took part in the assault of a patient in a hospital and included a attack of the same patient on his mobile phone, then do not report the incident.
Paterson Officer Roger Then, was Wednesday arrested and accused of conspiring to violate the patient’s civil rights and for the hide of the offense. The 29-year-old Paterson resident is by the court later in the day, and it was not known whether he had a lawyer.
Federal prosecutors say Than and other Paterson officer involved in the separate attacks on 5 March. Authorities say the victim had multiple facial injuries, including an eye injury that required surgery.
It was not immediately clear if the other driver is compared to the cost.
