Prince Charles warned Meghan Markle was not wearing a tiara for a state dinner abroad the same night that Kate Middleton wore a diamond-embellished tiara at Buckingham Palace, a new report claims.
Markle, 37, allegedly asked to wear a silver tiara from the Royal Collection for a state dinner in Fiji with Prince Harry in October, but Prince Charles nixed the idea for fear of the Duchess of Sussex appear “absurd,” insiders told The Daily Mail.
The same evening, for a state banquet at Buckingham Palace, Middleton, 37, wore a diamond and pearl tiara was previously owned by Prince William and Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

“Meghan didn’t understand all of this because she was new in the role and so Prince Charles told her that it would not be appropriate,” a source said. “It was very kindly done.”

The source noted that Prince Charles advised Markle against the idea, because it is a low socio-economic status of many of Fiji in comparison with the wealth of the royal family.

It allegedly was not the only time that the former “Suits” actress was denied a luxe headpiece.
Previous reports claimed that Markle was disappointed when Queen Elizabeth II refused to let her wear, an emerald tiara for her royal wedding of Prince Harry in May 2018.
