President Trump problems to ban on transgender troops from the service, except in “limited circumstances”

President Trump on Friday officially authorized the ability to prohibit transgender people from participation in the military, with few exceptions, following through on a promise made last year.

“Among other things, the principles of the Secretary of Defense, that transgender individuals with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria — the people, the policies may require basic medical treatment, including drugs and surgery — said to be disqualified from military service, except under certain, limited circumstances,” the President’s document.

A memorandum to the President in February by the defence Minister laid down guidelines, the “should be implemented in the exercise of its independent judgment” by the Department of Defense.
