Former journalist and Radio 1 presenter Max van Weezel is terminally ill. He has, according to doctors yet, but a few months to live, he says in the VPRO-program The Marathoninterview on Radio 1.
The 67-year-old Van Weezel was this spring of pancreatic cancer is determined. He underwent urgent major surgery, and there followed months of chemotherapy. “Last week, I have been told that chemotherapy is not enough has worked. I am not better. According to doctors, I have another two to three months to live”, said Van Weezel.
About the approaching end remains the presenter sober. “I try not to dramatize, and thus just as possible to do. If you have the whole day to talk about ‘the end is near’, then it will only get worse in your head.”
