Premier league launches official FIFA 17-competition for eSporters

The Premier raises a whole new competition in the life for eSporters. The eighteen clubs in the highest Dutch level take it in the so-called E-Division against each other with the game FIFA 17.
With effect from 6 February must be the E-Division is a “unique platform to reach young people” and the involvement of existing fans with their favorite premiere league club increase.
The league, one of the world’s first for FIFA-gamers, is an initiative of the Eredivisie CV and will be launched in collaboration with the eighteen Eredivisieclubs, EA Sports and Endemol Shine the Netherlands.
“Within the Premier league, we are already involved to an official eSports leagues in the Netherlands”, explains Eredivisie CV-director Alex Speaking. “The E-Division, we see as an extension to the existing football offering, which we may impose on young people.”
“For the clubs it will be a nice platform for the involvement of fans to enhance and jointly develop new content to generate. In addition, the E-Division in the long term, provide an even better experience of Premier league football in a stadium.”
