Jamie Otis opens up about a recent health diagnosis.
The “Married at First Sight” alum shared it on Instagram Wednesday that she tested positive for the human papillomavirus (HPV).
“I was going to go to the doctor and heard that my dad was in bad shape, and I SPEAK with you,” said Paul, who is 17 weeks pregnant with her and her husband, Doug Hehner’s second child.

“Even though it sounds like an STD, and I have to freak the F out, and I know that this is what is common and not to worry too much about it. I was scheduled to have a colposcopy to get a better look at the cells in the skin of my vagina.😳,” the 33-year-old TV personality continued.
“Well, not really a big deal, as long as the doc does not show dysplasia … and if they do, then it may be a sign of early cancer and cancer treatment.😱” she added to it. “… Buuut, I got a call today saying that my doc saw the dysplasia, and since I’m pregnant, we’ll have to wait for a biopsy of my cervix until after I have the baby.”
Since receiving the news, she’s “been all over the place,” Paul said, ” but they are just “positive vibes out there”, and praying for them.

“I didn’t have to wait until after I have the baby to really get to know me, but I am just putting the positive vibes out there & pray, & so very THANKFUL for my health.🙏🏻,” “she said.
“I couldn’t help but think of all the women who are pregnant, and find it super scary if they have cancer or a fatal disease, and she is left with a difficult decision: treat yourself during your pregnancy in order to save your life, but there is a risk of losing the baby OR take the chance and delay in treatment for the sake of saving your baby’s birth.😩” Paul continued to. “I can’t even imagine to make that decision.😢.
“My heart goes out to those mamas. If you’re one of them, I’m sending you SO MUCH LOVE.💗” she added to it.

According to WebMD, cervical dysplasia is a condition in which abnormal cell growth occurs on the surface of the mucous membrane of the cervix or endocervical canal.” By healthline, “the abnormal cells are not cancerous, but can develop into cancer if not caught early and treated.”
In September, Otis and Hehner, 35, revealed that she had expected, after suffering from multiple miscarriages. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, after the first meeting of the FYI show, are already parents to 2-year-old daughter, Gracie.
