The Slovak prosecutor’s office has announced on Thursday that a man is sued for the execution of the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kusnírová. It would be according to multiple media to create a prosperous businessman.
Kuciak examined the links between government officials in Slovakia and the Italian mafia. His revelations are probably fatal.
He was together with Kusnírová in their house in the village of Sheet’ká Maca taken under fire. Both of them died on the spot.
The killings led to widespread protests in Slovakia. Prime minister Robert Fico, minister of the Interior Robert Kalinák and police chief Tibor Gaspar saw themselves forced to steps.
