Post office at Tampa International Airport was evacuated due to a suspicious package report

At least seven people were treated for burning eyes and breathing difficulties after a suspicious package was found at the Tampa International Airport post office on Wednesday morning, according to the report.

Authorities evacuated the post office, prior to the Tampa Police department sent in the bomb squad to help out. At least seven people have now treated for a burn of the eyes, difficulty in breathing, according to Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman, who spoke to Fox 13.

A reporter with Bay News 9 and claimed that some of the workers at the post office got sick from the chemical smells”, when we sort an e-mail. Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Penny told the employees complain about a “vinegar and bleach” like odor.

“There doesn’t seem to be a threat to the general public on this issue,” She added.

A representative for the airport, was not immediately available to the issuing of a certificate.

The airport, the post office will not be connected to the airport, according to Fox 13, and it is not accessible to passengers.
