Pope finds Christmas ‘overcome by materialism’
Pope Francis will find that Christmas is nowadays seized by blinding materialism that many people blindt for the needs of the poor in the world. That’s what he said Saturday during the church service on christmas eve.
“The materialistic thinking puts God in the shade and makes many blind to the needs of the hungry. migrants and war casualties”, said Francis in St. peter’s Basilica.
During the austere but joyful service, said the pope in front of thousands of audiences including many cardinals and bishops that people in the rich world will need to remember that the message of Christ, modesty, simplicity, and wonderful.
