Pope baptizes 28 babies in the fourth baptismal service in the Sistine Chapel
Crying babies in place of sacred silence in the Sistine Chapel. Pope Francis has Sunday morning 28 baby’s christening. It is the fourth time that the pope, in a baptismal service.
“The concert has started,” joked the pope when a baby began to cry. “One starts, the other follows and at the end crying all babies.”
The pope encouraged the present mothers in the church, especially their offspring to breastfeed during the service. “Mothers, feed your children, without fear as the holy Madonna Jesus the chest gave.” The pope has already emerged as a firm supporter of breastfeeding.
