Estavana Polman finds it a pity that Helle Thomsen has decided to stop at the Dutch handbalsters. The opbouwspeelster emphasized, however, that there is not too long should be dealt with the departure of the Danish coach.
“It is a pity, but so does top-level sport. We have fantastic years, but now we have to. It is important that we as a team close together and continue what we are doing,” says Polman against NUsport.

Thomsen, who on Thursday announced to leave because her ambitions reach further than the possibilities at the Dutch handbalbond, followed in september 2016 Henk Groener on as coach of Orange. She led the team three times for a medal at a big tournament.
This month there was a bronze caught at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS in France and at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS last year ended for the Netherlands in third. Two years ago, the team of Thomsen in the european CHAMPIONSHIP final collapse against Norway, so pleasure had to be taken with silver.

‘Thomsen especially tactically very strong
The 26-year-old Polman will find that Orange with Thomsen a good coach loses. “She was especially tactically very strong and made sure that we defended and in the cover were,” said the player of the Danish Esbjerg, which is not afraid that Orange by the departure of the Danish will collapse.
