The former Navy SEAL-turned-politician, Dan Crenshaw, is taking aim at the political correctness.
Rep. Crenshaw, R-Texas, said on Friday that the identity of the policy is a problem in America, which will have dire consequences for the military and the country.
“There is a problem in America is certainly large. What is identity politics? It is this temptation to divide us into different groups. Whether it be based on race, gender, or other category and then pit these groups against each other and compete for power according to,” Crenshaw said on “Fox & Friends”.

“The way it should be America, the only colors that matter are red, white and blue. And that we compete, which, according to our expertise, we compete according to a performance-oriented society, this really is a fundamental element of the armed forces. If you take that away from the military… the military will eventually fail, and our country-a big mistake.”
Crenshaw, the response to comments of retired U.S. army Lt.-gen. Sean MacFarland, who called on Monday, ” identity politics, “cancer” and said it was getting harder and harder to anyone with any “play for the same team.”

“It is becoming more and more difficult in the US to assimilate the military, each and every with each on the same play for the same team? Yes, it is. Identity politics is a cancer,” MacFarland said at an event at the American Enterprise Institute.
Crenshaw agreed with MacFarland, and was critical of America’s colleges for their role in the promotion of identity politics.
“It is a kind of this post-modern mentality… in the universities, especially, there is this real temptation to tear down everything that built this country, demolish, this enlightenment ideal of equality,” he told “Fox & Friends”.

“You have different ideas of what it means to equality, the right. Do you think that quality means sameness. Do you think it means that everyone should the same, and… , there are injustices everywhere.
“But the reality is that we compete, allegedly, in a free society as free people and be part of the competition is a performance company and that is what founded our country. And I think people forget.”
