Polish Senate approves controversial reform

The Polish Senate has in the night from Friday on Saturday approved a controversial law to be the judges of the supreme court to replace. For the judicial reform to enforce as the last president Andrzej Duda and his signature under the proposal.

Friday were in Poland, tens of thousands of people on the streets to protest against the decision. The opposition find the bill of the ruling party PiS erosion of the independent judiciary and the undermining of democracy.

From different sides will press the president to be exercised to the reform and its right of veto. The European Union threatened with sanctions, and there was sharp criticism voiced by international lawyers.
