Police: Parents arrested after a 1-year-old daughter tests positive for fentanyl

A couple is facing child endangering and drug charges after their 1-year-old daughter tested positive for fentanyl, earlier this month, authorities said.

Phoenix police received a phone call on Oct. 7 from a witness who reportedly saw a couple of the use of illegal drugs in the car. Officials said, “the vehicle was filled with smoke” when they have contacted Denisse and Pablo Solorzano, which, with their 1-year-old daughter, according to the AZFamily.com.

Authorities say the officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia, Pablo Solorzano is in possession of it when they asked him to step outside. He is reported to have said that the drugs were Percocet pills.

Denisse, and Pablo Solorzano faces drug and child endangerment charges after their 1-year-old daughter tested positive for fentanyl.

Denisse Solorzano was found with the drugs, authorities said.

The efforts of the police, in order to wake up the little girl for a few minutes and was not successful. She was taken to a hospital, where examination showed that the fentanyl in her system.

Pablo Solorzano told the police, “it was his wife’s birthday, and he was to stupid to buy drugs,” and that he regretted doing this to his wife, and that he has the full responsibility,” according to court documents.

The two face felony charges, it is in danger, and the possession or use of illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
