Police Israel takes heavyweights Arab party
The Israeli police Sunday about twenty officials of the left-wing Arab party Balad was arrested. She suspects the detainees of tampering with campagnegeld.
Among the suspects is chairman Awad Abdul-Fatah, report Israeli media.
He and his fellow suspects would be translated hundreds of thousands of euro’s from the netherlands and abroad have adopted for the campagnekas, but that gifts not according to the rules in the books. They have, according to the police guilty to, inter alia, fraud, forgery and money laundering.
Balad says the accusations against it. The party says the victim of “political persecution”. The Arab party has a handful of seats in the Knesset.
