Life is short, but a bug.
An Arkansas photographer and a venomous copperhead snake eats a cicada that had just emerged from the shell, in the Ozark National Forest earlier this month.
Charlton McDaniel had been in the forest, in a kayak under the light of the moon, on July 17, when he told me that he saw a molting cicada on a tree trunk. He picked up his camera to capture the moment and the bugs that would come out of the outer shell, but it is a copperhead slithered over and stopped the shot, ” he wrote on Facebook.

“I’m really close to, and less than a foot to my iPhone as soon as it began to eat it,” he told the Springfield News-Leader. “I know that, as it is to swallow, it was really vulnerable and couldn’t fight.”
As for the copperhead to be aware that he is not alone, the beast is ready to take its meal and slithered back into the woods, McDaniel said.
