Poisoned hot dogs to make pets ill, Wisconsin police warn

Someone has dropped hot dogs with a toxic substance within, that has made dogs sick, in a western Wisconsin town, the police announced, urging people looking for a possible suspect.

It was shown that the person was cutting the hot dogs, adding an unknown substance, then wrapping the food with dental floss before he put it in the people meter in Lake Hallie. The police got a series of interviews about the crimes, 9 Fox reported.

“If you happen to see more of this kind of activity, please do NOT let your animals to ingest and report it immediately,” officers wrote in a Facebook post Friday.

The police also released a couple of blurry pictures of the possible suspect, who is from a trail camera.

It is not clear exactly how many dogs have become sick.

More Hallie is a 90-minute drive east of Minneapolis.
