Poëziebus goes for the third time on tour through the Netherlands and Belgium

More than twenty Belgian and Dutch podiumdichters go also this summer for the third time by bus through the Low Countries. From 4 to 13 August, driving them with a red oldtimerbus to ten Belgian and Dutch cities to find their dichtkunsten to be heard.
The ‘poëziebus’ goes to Rotterdam, Leiden, Leeuwarden, Zwolle, Breda, Brussels, Sint-Niklaas, Herentals, St-Truiden and Antwerp.
We want “the timelessness and versatility of poetry to celebrate with as many people as possible,” says the organization.
All performances and workshops are free and there is old and new poetic offerings, both for beginners as well as advanced on poëziegebied.
The selection is diverse, promise to be the initiators of the project: “Socially rappers, inspiring spoken word artists, flashy slammers and contemplative or experimental poets”, but also more traditional work. It is the intention of the public at this time what involvement through various forms of interaction.
The participating poets are also beginners and advanced: Gorik Verbeken, Shanna Rider, Martin Beversluis, Cissy, Hidde Moens, Adriána Kóbor, Kay Slice, Marjan De Ridder, Arno Moens, Heidi Choirs, Temporary Show, Sam Plays, Jeroen Naaktgeboren, Anne-Fleur van der Heiden, Jooz, Petra Van Den Berghen, Gerard Scharn, Siebrand, Rellieatuur, Daan Janssens, Eline Crols, Babette Groos, Giovanni Baudonck & Yousra Benfquih. They were chosen from 150 applicants.
The first episode attracted 1270 interested parties, the second 1600. The organization hopes now surely 2000 people to be interested. The bus will be paid from the various funds, the Dutch Language union and local authorities.
