The tail of a Germania aircraft headed to Berlin crashed in the tail of an El Al flight on the road to Rome early Wednesday.
The Israel Airports Authority says a German plane collided with an Israeli airplane on the ground at Ben Gurion airport, causing damage but no injuries.

Spokesman Ofer Lefler said the tail of a Germania aircraft destined for Berlin, crashed in the tail of an El Al flight on the road to Rome early Wednesday.

He said: “serious damage was caused, mainly to the German plane,” but the passengers were not in danger,” and were put on alternative flights. He said the rare incident is being investigated.
