Peter Krüger verfilmt ‘The Age of Magic’ by Booker Prize-winner Ben Okri

Screenwriter-director Peter Krüger of the Brussels-based production company Inti Films has the film rights purchased from ‘The Age of Magic’, the novel of the Nigerian-British writer Ben Okri.

It is the first time that a novel by the Nigerian-English writer filmed. Krüger and Okri together, the arrangement for their account. The duo is currently busy editing the book to a scenario that is filmed can be.

The story is about the misadventures of a film crew that by all kinds of circumstances ends up in a mysterious and idyllic town. Peter Krüger will for the filming out of his own interpretation of the story and wants to make a poetic and exciting movie about the human desire for happiness against the social background of the end of Europe. The recordings of ‘The Age of Magic’ will probably take place in 2018. The release is planned for 2019.

Krüger previously worked together with Ben Okri ‘N-The Madness of Reason’, Krügers documentary in 2014 was invited to the Forum of the Berlinale and with us three Ensor’s won, including one for best film.
