Pentagon silent on transgender policy released last week

WASHINGTON – The Pentagon refuses to clarify parts of the Pentagon recommendation on transgender troops and not satisfied confusion about whether the members who have transitioned from one gender to the other would be discharged under the proposed plan.

Chief spokeswoman Dana White says a pending lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump ‘ s to ban transgender forces prevents her from answering even the most basic questions, such as who was on the panel that drafted the recommendations.

The memo was approved and signed by Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, approved by the White House and posted on the Ministry of Defence website on Friday. It offers unprecedented details on the number of transgender forces in the army and how many have sought mental health help or are looking for the transition operation.
