Sen. Pat Toomey leads to “Dangerous Sanctuary Cities Act”
Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., echo President Trump’s words on Wednesday, listing immigration as the dominant theme for the impending 2020 election.
On “America’s Newsroom” Toomey hosts Bill Hemmer and Sandra Müller said that the security is of fundamental importance to his voters, and democratic supporters of the sanctuary city policy, all Americans at risk. “Prosperity and security are always the important things are, I think,” he said before the call of the Democratic attitude of “madness.”
“I have to try the tip of the spear in the Senate to bring an end to sanctuary cities. It is an outrageous policy, the municipalities choose to give a special legal status to criminals, assuming that they came here illegally. And it is just amazing and it’s endangered us all.”
Along with other Republicans such as Senator Tom cotton, R-Ark., and Senator John Kennedy, R-La., Toomey again, the Holding introduced Dangerous sanctuary cities Can Act to set potentially an end to sanctuary cities. “So, I’ve re-introduced my bill to withhold important categories of Federal funds for cities, select a risk for all of us this way,” he said. “And I’m going to insist on a vote. I’m going to take a different course to get this done.”

In a press release the introduction of the bill, Toomey said the law would be “an end to sanctuary city policies that you want to do local law enforcement-cooperation with Federal immigration authority to ban, also if so would be dangerous.”
The law also provides a safe Harbor for countries that do not cooperate with Federal immigration officials with regard to people in the country illegally to come forward as victims or witnesses of a crime.
He called it “outrageous” cities such as San Francisco and his own Philadelphia as possible destinations: “These guidelines — such as those in Philadelphia and San Francisco-make it harder to stop illegal immigration and keep dangerous criminals off the street. Sanctuary cities to send a special protection to illegal immigrants, even if the Federal government identify immigration officials as a threat to public safety. This is simply inexcusable, and I urge my colleagues, this is a sensible measure.”
“Philadelphia is one of the most striking sanctuary cities in America. In my state. And, the fact is, by becoming a magnet for dangerous criminal, it jeopardizes here illegally, all of our security,” he said inhibitor and Smith.

Toomey also discussed, commented on, Trump has been the theme during a campaign event in Iowa on Tuesday.
“This is really the crucial issue to 2020, when it is said to immigration,” the President to his followers. “Democrats no longer represent the American people… A vote for the Democrats is a vote for completely open borders…But, if you look at sanctuary cities and look at the huge problem that you want to get rid of, on ICE.”
To say that Toomey agreed: “I think the President is exactly right. This is a crucial question, because there will be elements of the immigration debate, where reasonable people can disagree on. But, I’m sorry, I understand how reasonable people can come to the conclusion that we are all threatened by violent criminals to roam our streets. That’s just crazy!”

In February 2018, a bipartisan majority of senators voted for the stop of Dangerous sanctuary cities Act, but it did not receive the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster.
“We have a President and the Republicans, who want to do something and we have Democrats that want to refuse, and actually refused to do something meaningful about it,” said Toomey.
