The Chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican party, resigned from his post Tuesday in the midst of a scandal, the sexually charged text messages and an explicit picture he sent to a woman running for the Philadelphia City Council.
Valentino “Val” DiGiorgio III, 51, resigned from his position with the Pennsylvania GOP, shortly after the Philadelphia Inquirer ran a story about a text-message exchange he had with one-time Republican candidate for Philadelphia City Council Irina Goldstein.
The exchange began last October and lasted four months.
According to The Inquirer, DiGiorgio, who is married, and Goldstein, who is single, began the communication, after you appeared to be commenting on a photo on Facebook, in the DiGiorgio.
According to Goldstein, DiGiorgio recognized, you wouldn’t alert him, seeking advice for her city Council bid.

“I am in favour of the Council of the city,” she said, adding, “the next time you are in Philly, I would be honored to buy you coffee.”
The text conversation went from consulting, to flirt sexually charged exchanges DiGiorgio sending Goldstein a photo of his erect penis.
DiGiorgio said in a statement that the texts between him and Goldstein agreed were “very” and that the allegations of harassment or abuse of power are “fundamentally wrong.”
“I extend my deepest apologies to my family and my colleagues for this unfortunate distraction,” he wrote, and added: “I intend to vigorously defend myself against these allegations and protect, my family, my colleagues, and that the party to this private matter.”

Goldstein continued the text exchange with DiGiorgio after the receipt of the explicit image, and, at times, either referenced or explicitly, sex is quoting acts in your exchanges with the Republican leader. The former city Council candidate, however, said to grow, she began to be embarrassed by the lyrics, quote, that DiGiorgio had “the upper hand”, and finally, communication with him stopped after sending a written exchange in which she told him that was his messages to him “sexually harassing”.
“If a person has that much influence and power, as I feel that he abused. And that was not necessary,” Goldstein told The Inquirer the following DiGiorgio of the decision.
The following DiGiorgio’s departure, the party, the Vice-chair, Bernadette “Bernie” comfort, took over the position as Vice-Chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican party.
