Vice-President Mike Pence, spoke at a ceremony in Warsaw to commemorate the 80 anniversary of the beginning of the second world war, praised the “indomitable spirit, the strength and resilience of the freedom to push loving Polish” in the face of fascism and communism — and promised, the members of NATO spending on defense against future threats.

“Here in this city, more than 150,000 Polish men, women and children of the Warsaw uprising, the said finally, the deliberate and total destruction of this city saw during the Soviet troops and allowed the slaughter,” Pence gave their lives in only 9 weeks. “They died to liberate in battle, this blood-soaked streets of fascism, dictatorship, and the looming threat of communism.”

Pence said the Polish people “never lost hope and never gave in to despair.”

“While the heart of every American are with our fellow citizens in the path of a massive storm, that we remember today, as the gathering storm of the 20th century broke out in war and invasion, followed by unspeakable hardness and heroism of the Polish people,” Pence said.

The “character, the faith and determination of the Polish people that made the difference,” Pence said. “Their oppressors tried to break on you, but Poland could not be broken.”

“By the brutality of the war, and through four decades of Communist rule,” as President, Trump said two years ago, Poland and the other captive Nations experienced destroy Europe in a brutal campaign, [your] freedom, your laws, your history, your identity, and all [their faith]. . . . Nevertheless, it has never lost the spirit. Your oppressor is trying to break to you, but Poland could not be broken,'” Pence said.


“A memorial cross to honor the historical moment in Polish history in this place, in front of the tomb of the Unknown soldier as a symbol of the Polish faith, hope, and determination,” he added. “It is a standing proof for the faith of the Polish people, the true solidarity among the people and among the Nations is only possible, if this solidarity is seen in the light of the Providence of the Creator.”

He continued: “As President, Trump said, here in Warsaw two years ago, America never gave up on the” freedom and independence of the Polish people, and we never will.'”

A top assistant for President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Krzysztof Szczerski, said Trump’s apologized in a telephone conversation with Duda and promised to move them, if possible.

“This war was a German crime,” said President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Poland’s top executives said, and Pence, and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
