The democratic congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on Monday in a letter to President Trump calling for a “big and bold “infrastructure package” before a planned White house meeting on Tuesday between the Democratic legislators and the President.
“America’s unmet infrastructure needs are massive, and a cross-party infrastructure must meet package these needs with significant, new and real revenue,” Pelosi, the speaker of the house, and Schumer, the Senate democratic leader, wrote in her letter to Trump. “We look forward to your ideas on how the numbers for this package to ensure that it is in need of big and bold enough, to our country.”
