Pediatricians worried about kwakzwalverij under alternative healers
Dutch pediatricians are very worried about quackery in alternative medical experts that children treat.
From an inventory of the Dutch Association for Paediatrics (NVK) shows that over the last two and a half years to sixteen very serious incidents, ranging from a malnourished baby to a child that a piece of intestine should miss.
Dutch pediatricians bring since two and a half years systematically the adverse effects of alternative medicine on children. This is done through the Dutch Signaleringscentrum Pediatrics (NSCK). This has resulted in a list of incidents Tuesday night in Focal point addressed.
The list, according to the pediatricians now give rise to alternative healers who have no medical background, to prohibit children under twelve years old to treat.
