‘Peace talks Israel-Palestine reopened in Moscow

The Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has agreed to a proposal by Russia to engage in dialogue with Israel.

That made the Russian news agency Interfax is known on the basis of sources within the Palestinian embassy. Abbas would be prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel in Moscow meet for peace talks. The initiative was taken by the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The last meetings about the Arab-Israeli conflict date back to 2014, as a result of military attacks in the Gaza strip, a war that, fifty days it took. In August of that year, a cease-fire set.

The past few weeks flared the conflict in the Gaza strip, after several rocket attacks were carried out. Despite the shelling, there seems to be no question of a war like two years ago.
