The pc sales in the second quarter of 2017 again collapsed. Notably, Lenovo had a bad quarter.
This is evident from new figures that market researchers Gartner and IDC on Thursday published. According to Gartner, decreased sales by 4.3 percent compared to last year, while IDC reported a decline of 3.3 percent.
HP saw its sales still increase and was for the second quarter in a row, the largest pc manufacturer, at the expense of Lenovo. The Chinese company is at the second spot, followed by Dell.
Apple is on place four in the ranking, with more than 4 million sold Macs in the quarter. That is stable compared to a year earlier, despite the appearance of new models in June.
In total shipped to pc-makers, more than 60 million computers in the second quarter.
