Bijlmerbajes is a temporary hotel
A part of the Bijlmerbajes changes this summer in a temporary hotel. On two floors are sixteen to eighteen cells transformed into rooms.
The project is an initiative of the Foundation for The Movement On The Ground, which deals with refugees in the Netherlands and Lesbos. The hotel that the name of the Movement Hotel Bijlmerbajes, will serve as a training ground for refugees with a residence permit.
“If we get there after one and a half years should, we hope, ninety people have been trained,” says project leader Rob Hoogerwerf. “We want to contribute to the integration.” There are other people needed for the reception, cleaning and security.
