Parents of hazing victims to gather in South Carolina

GREENVILLE, S. C. – the Tears flowed as the parents of the 15 children who died in college hazing incidents collected in South Carolina to be a part of their losses.

The State newspaper reported the parents gathered Friday in Greenville for a weekend organized by Cindy and Gary Hipps, whose son Tucker died after he fell in a lake during a pledge run from Clemson University in 2014. No one have been charged.

They are going to talk about how they are the insurance of other parents are not faced with the same heartbreak.

Jim and Evelyn Piazza, marked the one-year anniversary of their son Tim’s death Feb. 4. The Penn State sophomore has died after a fall down the stairs in a brotherhood event. She learned of his injury only after his brother, also at Penn State, called the hospital when he did not come home.
