Pandora is quietly launched a new Premium Family plan.
Priced at $14.99 per month or $ 164.89 annually, the new plan offers all the same advantages as Pandora Premium on-demand listening with unlimited skips, and repetitions, no ads, higher quality than the free audio tier, and the ability to create playlists and download music for offline access for up to six unique accounts at a time.
Considering Pandora Premium costs $ 9.99 per month for just one account, this new option is a good deal for families. For the sake of comparison, family plans of rival music streaming services of Spotify and Apple Music, also costs $14.99 per month and offer support for up to six individual accounts.
“Each of your Premium Family members get full access to the Pandora Premium features, but they have their own account,” Pandora wrote in a FAQ article about the new plan. “In other words, you don’t need to share your music, unless you want to.”

Subscribers will also receive access to Our Soundtrack,” a “regularly updated playlist for your family that combines each person is a unique musical taste,” Pandora wrote.
If you already have a subscription to Pandora, then go to your account settings and select the option “Switch Plans” to upgrade to the new family option. Once you sign up, you can visit the Subscription section of your account and select “Manage Family” to add or remove people.
The new Premium Family plan comes after Pandora in March 2017 introduced, for the first time, an on-demand streaming tier to take on Spotify and Apple Music. Pandora Premium earned a “good” rating in PCMag’s review, but we said it’s “still not enough to sway users away from the top.”
