Lakshmi, who was born in India, was featured in the celebrity, cartoon was acquired in The New Yorker, in which stars are to submit and share their favourite funny cartoons.
The outlet part of the article on Instagram, with shots to the head and of the celebs who have contributed to it, but, tagged Chopra, is an Indian actress and model, Lakshmi’s headshot.

The New Yorker has since removed the post, but the “Top Chef” host, 49, has managed to take a screen shot and shared it on Instagram.
“Thank you for making the long ‘@nydailynews for the shoutout,” she said, deliberately tagging the wrong media outlet. “I know, that’s what we all seem to be alike, but…”
She added the hashtags, “#desilife” and “justindianthings.”
The Fans were quick to respond, sharing their disdain.

“W T F? This is just ridiculous. It makes me so angry,” said one of the users.
“You two are beautiful, but if it is ignorance,” said one of the others.
A third chimed in with: “This is the equivalent of a tags: Christina Aguilera at a photo of Britney Spears.”
Also, the actress Natalie Portman agreed to be in it with a simple, “no.”
