Freek de Jonge is going to play the major role in The Vogelwachter, a film about an old man who for almost half a century only on an island full of birds live.
“A oudemannendroom is reality,” says the 74-year-old comedian Monday in a comment.
The recordings for The Vogelwachter go next week and last until mid-June. The scenario and the director are in the hands of Threes Anna, and the film should be in 2020 in the cinemas.
It is not the first time that The Young in a movie to see. In 1971 he had a role in Mira by Fons Rademakers, and in 1983 he had a larger role in The Illusionist. That movie was loosely based on the play The Tragedy of The Young.
In 1986, there was the movie The Kkkomediant, based on the performance of The Pilgrimage.
