Oprah Winfrey spoke of the mass executions in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, which took the lives of dozens of people in the room.
The famous talk-show host says in a new interview, she feels that the reason behind the recent string of violence is that the people are “masses” of a “core of moral center.”
“I think a lot of people are missing a core moral center,” Winfrey told Extra’s Renee Bargh.

“The churches used to do that… It’s a place where you could come in, and it was one of the most central of the values of a way of life and in the lives of the people,” she added. “Until we get back to it, but that it is, in any shape or form, we are lost.”
This is not the first time that the 65-year-old opened up about mass shootings. In May of 2018 and beyond, Winfrey wrote in an article for her magazine entitled “Why It’s Time To Stand up” to gun violence.”

“All human beings belong to one’s family. That way, we can agree that all human beings deserve protection from the senseless killings? Can we all agree that all families deserve and have a right to safety and security, in addition to the right to bear arms,” Winfrey wrote at the time.
She concluded: “it is my hope and prayer is that you have to agree: It’s time to stand up and stand together for the sake of all of us.”
