A: If you have the necessary information to send, and the time-sensitive, and you can’t easily call or e-mail, it is useful to confirm whether your text has been read or not. Again, this ability can also be abused, and many critics consider it a violation of privacy. In short: there is a way, but I would urge you to be honest with your husband about using it.
