Olympic roeikampioene Paulis with new partner Keijser to EK
Olympic roeikampioene Ilse Paulis has in Marieke Keijser found a new partner in the light’s double scull. The torque momentum this coming weekend at the European championships in the Czech Racice.
The Dutch rowing federation made Monday the team announced for the european CHAMPIONSHIPS. The 23-year-old Paulis captured last summer in Rio de Janeiro gold in the light’s double scull with Maaike Head.
The duo was named team of the year. Head (33), decided this year no races to exterminate, and focus entirely on her work as a doctor.
The 20-year-old Keijser is regarded as an up-and-coming roeitalent. She fell last year in the lightweight single scull. Keijser won in this non-olympic boat for the world cup in Varese and the world title at the promises in Rotterdam.
Paulis and Head run since march 2015 together. In the run-up to the Games in Rio broke Head in a fall with the bike two ribs, but she was just in time restored for the olympic race, in which the duo so gold picked up.
