Olivia Newton-John’s iconic leather jacket, pants from the ‘Grease’ to go on auction

Julien’s Auctions, the California-based auction house, it will be up to various pieces of Olivia Newton-John’s personal clothing collection, up for bid in November, including the famous “leather jacket and skin-tight shorts” she was wearing during the finale of the hit 1978 film “Grease.”

The clothes, along with the costumes her character wore in “Xanadu,” and the outfits she’s done with promoting her “Physical” tour in 1982 and, among other pieces from her wardrobe, will be on the auction block during the Icons & Idols “the two-day music extravaganza” on Dec. 1 and 2, and the Standard Oil Building, in Los Angeles, california.

Quite possibly the most coveted item in the Newton-John, a lot of it, however, the doctrine is “Fat” outfit, which is estimated to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000.

“One of the most highly anticipated moments of the auction, and the sale of one of cinema’s most iconic costumes – Newton-John, a black leather jacket and skin-tight pants,” reads a press release.

“In the film’s final song,” you’re the One that I want, Sandy (Newton-John) surprises Danny (John Travolta) and her transformation as a discrete cheerleaders with a sexy greaser girl. The black leather jacket and a pair of figure-hugging, black, shiny, high-waist pants that are so tight, and that Newton-John had to be sewn up, she will rock it in the auction phase,” the press release added.

The play also contains more than 200 personal items and accessories, is owned by Newton-John during her career, including her original “Fat” is a script.

Newton-John, 70, on three separate occasions, has battled cancer, after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.
