Old VARA-presenter Letty Kosterman died
Former presenter Letty Kosterman died. Sunday she passed away at age 81, in a nursing home in Bilthoven, and had a spokesperson on behalf of the family know.
The Utrecht-born Aletta Kosterman made her televisiedebuut at the AVRO, with the program New Harvest in 1960. In 1962 she went to the VARA for the radio to work, where she became known with programs like This is your life, For those who don’t watch will and Z. O..
In 1982 began Kloosterman at Early Birds, where they died, Wim Hoogendoorn succeeded. Between 1985 and 1993 she presented every Sunday morning the program with Ivo de Wijs. Together they wrote the poetry collection, Early Birds Verses. In 1991, over her book of short stories Far from Home.
The children’s songbook
Kosterman presented further on VARA television programmes as a Prelude, Ticker and they did for years together with Wim Bosboom, the consumer programme King Customer. Further, she worked in the late eighties to children for Children (VARA) where she worked with composer Jules de Corte de songs of My tree, Miepie and Magician wrote.
At her farewell at the age of 58 in 1993 called The Point to her “the face and sound of the VARA.”
