COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio is scheduled Tuesday to move from a condemned murderer to the state death house as it begins with the preparations for the first performance in several months.
Prisoner Robert Van Hook was convicted and sentenced to die for fatally strangling and stabbing David Self after to pick him up in a bar in Cincinnati in 1985. Hook, 58, is no appeal against, and the Republican Gov. John Kasich rejected clemency request without comment.

Seizing on that claim, prosecutors have dismissed the idea as nonsense, says Van der Haak made a practice of luring gay men to apartments to rob them.
Prosecutors note Of the Hook has a long history of violence, while in prison, including stabbing a fellow death row inmate in November.
