The Sargiottos claim that Lilja has been negligent in the treatment of Stephanie Sargiotto, but further details of their allegations were not immediately available.

The Sargiottos’ lawyer moved for a mistrial, arguing that the potential jurors can be influenced by the witness Lilja’s actions. The judge agreed, dismissing the other judges, and set a new trial date of 2 April.
Before entering the medical field, Lilja was a drummer for the Orange County on the basis of Offspring from 1984 to 1987. Lilja, the band played in 1986 debut single, “I’ll Be Waiting’, but left before the band achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the hits “Come Out and Play” Self Esteem ” and ” Pretty Fly (For a White Guy).”
In 2007 a blog post about The Offspring of the official website, frontman Dexter Holland described Lilja as “a big man with a pretty twisted sense of humour” who was “dying to get in to medical school.
“In fact, he was so focused on getting into medical school that he doesn’t really even practice with us much,” Holland wrote, “that is part of the reason why he is not our drummer anymore!”
