CINCINNATI – Police say a gunman opened fire on emergency psychiatric services hospital building in Cincinnati, injuring an agent, before they believe he shot himself to death.
The police Eliot Isaac said Wednesday that the police have not yet identified the shooter and are unclear about the motive. He says an unarmed security officer was injured and is undergoing an operation.
The police responded to a report of an active shooter in the vicinity of University of Cincinnati Medical Center just before 2 a.m., Wednesday. Isaac says a number of shots were fired at the entrance of the psychiatric services, emergency room.
The police closed a part of an area with a number of other hospitals and medical buildings.
