Of Ohio a child prostitution sting nabs over 100 of them, including the leader of the church doctor report

More than 100 people, including a doctor and a church youth director, were arrested as part of a massive human trafficking and the child sex sting operation based in central Ohio, according to a new report.

Those arrested included 24 men, caught as they were in a secret location with the intention of meeting a child for sex, Maj. Steven Tucker of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said.

“They’re coming out with a sex toy, or the surface,” said Tucker. “They get to see things that are obvious to someone is not going to show up to a house, unless they intended to engage in sexual activity.”

Of the 24 defendants were accused of attempting to commit unlawful sexual acts with a minor and importuning, Columbus’ WBNS-TV reported.

A group of 104 defendants included, Christian Gibson, 26, is a former youth director at Redeemer’s on Courtright Church in Columbus, and Austin Kosier, 31, an emergency room doctor, authorities said, adding that the sting was directed at Franklin, Fairfield and Delaware counties.

The Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost, said of the four-part, simultaneous operation involved more than 30 law enforcement agencies. The probe is also focusing on tracking down those who go on the hunt for children to have sex with them, and they tried to sell it to vulnerable individuals and the trafficking in human beings.

For those who have been arrested, 36 of them men, were charged with trying to buy sex, and one man was arrested for promotion of prostitution. Forty-three women were arrested for selling sex, and they were connected with social services that focus on the rehabilitation of victims of trafficking in human beings, WBNS-TV reported.
