What it is like you are a part of the women of ‘Ocean’s 8’ cast
Star of the new thriller, crime movie discuss the importance of the film starring all women in the #MeToo-era.
The cast of the heist film “Ocean’s 8” is the confession about their respective experiences with theft in real life.
On the red carpet for the upcoming action film, Sandra Bullock admitted she has a thing or two of the movie sets in the past.
“I lift a lot of things from the movies,” Bull, 53, told Fox News. “It’s not that I’ve stolen from them, I have taken them home because they were a part of my character, and if someone needs them back, I’ll gladly give them back.”
“No one is to come back for them,” added Bullock, who stars as Debbie Ocean in the film.
And Var is not the only one from her cast, along with sticky fingers. Helena Bonham Carter proved she too is guilty of stealing things from sets, albeit unintentionally.
“I have probably, but you know what, without knowing it,” the 52-year-old explained to Fox News. “In fact, when I smoked, my brother always tell me that I was a kleptomaniac with all the lighters. But… I just take things. So yes, I have stolen a lot, unknowingly.”
Sarah Paulson, meanwhile, said they used to take candy when she was a child.
“There was some chewing gum, there was a Jolly Rancher, I would have stolen, some Sweet Cakes. My favorite candy in all the time,” she told him. “I think we’ve all done it, but my mother would make me give them back. I was not very good at it. I have my loot and make sure nobody found out that I have taken. Instead, I was like ‘look ma!’ And she said ‘no no no, you run that back.'”
But a star that is still on the correct side of the medal is Anne Hathaway.
“Yes, no. I would do it and then I would pay for it,” the “Devil Wears Prada” actress shared, by breaking into an impromptu PSA on good karma.
“I’m not going to lie,” says Hathaway, 35. “I believe that when you steal, you don’t have to wind steal from the people above, you wind up stealing from the people that are probably the money the most, so I’m not a thief, but I have fun.”
Hathaway added: “I have [known]. I blush when I lie. It is something my father made sure that I did it.”
“Ocean’s 8,” which hit theaters Friday, is a spin-off to the George Clooney-led franchise, “Ocean’s 11” and follows Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie and her team as they attempt to pull off a jewelry heist at the annual Gala. Bonham Carter noted that the “Ocean’s 8” all-female cast was able to more damage with less people.
“… Note that it takes eight women to do a heist in place of 11 men. Or even 12? Yes, and only eight women. And I am easily the most skilled.”
