Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, on Tuesday afternoon, the target took on a mainstream news article, by you as a “gossip.”
She tweeted: “disappointing DC is the gossip that masquerades as ‘reporting.’ This story has: – Not a SINGLE name or verifiable source – Only-the-record comment, that is not a rejection. My father had a surplus, a name for junk like this: ‘Birdcage-lining.'”
The tweet was a political story with the title: “Ocasio-Cortez, it weighs a new primary objective: Hakeem Jeffries. Jeffries, newly elected to the No. 5 Democrat in the house, drew criticism from the left because of the leadership of the party in the elections.”
The news outlet’s vice president of marketing and communications, Brad Dayspring, state Political journalism: “It’s hard to know what the criticism of the piece is not, since the Congressman-elect to specify (even you or someone from your staff has asked for a correction). We stand by our reporting.”
The article claims that a Democratic-socialist from the Bronx”, an African-American woman to challenge Jeffries, who was elected just barely … as caucus Chairman, the No. 5 house democratic leadership position.”

Democrats recently elected new faces to the lower-level management jobs, including Jeffries, in his 40s, and is regarded by some as a “rising star”.
The article, citing anonymous sources, claimed Jeffries was considered to be conservative for a very left-wing group called the ” justice Democrats, seeking future bids to run primary candidates against moderate Democrats in the coming elections.
Jeffries responded to the challenge, Politically, said: “It is a free country and democracy is a beautiful thing.”
