nearvideo Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she is looking forward to a real vote on the Green New Deal
Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, took to target Senate majority Leader Mitch McConnell, after he filed for a procedural vote on her Green New Deal on Thursday — something many Democrats call a political stunt.
Ocasio-Cortez, Fox News said she is ready to, the resolution of the true test and not bother with the McConnell’s systematic obstruction.
“I am pleased that we said a real voice and not just a procedural vote,” she said. “He doesn’t seem to be interested in improving our democracy. He seems more interested in the current procedural votes.”

McConnell, the vote on Ocasio-Cortez planned the resolution for the 25. In March, when the chamber returns from a week-long break.
The bill has little chance of passing the Republican-controlled Senate.
The plan, which would strategy, the overhaul of the nation’s economy and energy and was estimated to have been moved to cost trillions of dollars, and rapidly from fringe circles to the mainstream of the discussion, and was supported by many Dems running for President, including the newly announced candidate Beto O’rourke, the former Congressman from Texas.

While she said it is “too early”, back to select a candidate for the 2020 election, Ocasio-Cortez said the return of the Green New Deal would be a smart move for all the candidates.
“It is a successful output. We talk to support about 67 percent of the voters in the Iowa caucus, the Green New Deal, and now 91 percent prefer a candidate who speaks,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Thursday.
She also said a letter sent to her and the Senate co-sponsor Ed Markey, D-Mass., of the AFL-CIO about concerns that the proposed economic and energy policy reforms could cause “immediate harm” to millions of unionised workers.

“Well, if I remember right, the head of the AFL-CIO … not characters, letters, and so, I don’t know if there is an official position, but what I do know is that the Green New Deal is all about mass investment in infrastructure and jobs; in particular, we are talking about steelworkers, electrical workers,” Ocasio-Cortez told Fox News.
“I mean, there’s so much to do work, to do the transition to 100 percent renewable energy, and we have that working with the Union work.”
