EXCLUSIVE – Cherie Murray, a New York business woman who emigrated from Jamaica as a child and is active in state Republican politics, has launched a campaign Wednesday for the congressional seat held by democratic Republic of the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Fox News has learned.
In a telephone interview, Murray, 38, confirmed their intention for the New York congressional seat as a Republican.

“It is a crisis in Queens, and it is, AOC,” Murray told Fox News. “And instead of relying on us, it is the focus to be famous. Especially the Rollback progress, and the creation of the job-killing Green New Deal and the killing of the Amazon to New York.”
Murray, who was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States when she was 9, is officially your campaign starts on Wednesday with an introductory video, the sharp shock takes on the 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez.

“Your representatives in Washington chooses to self-promotion through service, conflict over the components of resistance to help,” said Murray in the video. “Queens, and the Bronx is in need of someone to create jobs, instead of you.”
Ocasio-Cortez the brand of Democratic socialism, asked Murray said, “I think it is far, far to the left and there is no connection with everyday Americans.”
For “Medicare for all”, the Ocasio-Cortez the Republicans, has accepted, said: “Medicare-for-all, I think a lot of people are happy with their current health insurance.” And on the Green New Deal, the left’s proposal to tackle climate change, Ocasio pushed-Ortez, said: “We know that it will certainly kill jobs.”
Murray joins four other Republicans who have filed to run for the seat: former police officer John Cummings, a medical journalist, Ruth Papazian, a building contractor, Miguel Hernandez, and entrepreneur Antoine Tucker.
No Democrats have yet announced a primary challenge for Ocasio-Cortez, although there was speculation that the establishment Democrats could rally behind a primary Challenger. Ocasio-Cortez shocked the political world in 2018 by the defeat of longtime Rep. Joe Crowley, in a Democratic primary.
Which Republican candidate emerges from the primary field in front of a steep climb in the overwhelmingly Democratic district. But Murray and others are looking to paint Ocasio-Cortez as more of a celebrity, as a legislator, to work with your ability across party lines.
Murray ‘ s new campaign video, which is not mentioned in the President Trump, or the Republican party, described Murray as a bridge-builder. She is a former state Committee woman of the New York State Republican party.
Asked during the interview if they are holding a trump card-trailer, she said “Yes”. She said she is in the process of discussions with national Republicans about their campaign, including South Carolina sen. Tim Scott, a prominent black Republicans in Congress.
She expressed outrage about the recent spat between Trump and Ocasio-Cortez and his allies. Trump has taken the heat for telling Ocasio-Cortez, and other minorities, progressives, “go back to” where they came from provocative assertions from Democrats that Trump’s comments are racist.
“I think it’s disgusting, to be honest,” Murray said of the controversy, without specifying which part of it grosses you. “I think we are missing the point of why we elected to public office: legislation on policy, results to deliver, those kitchen table issues that impact on the everyday lives of Americans.”
Murray later clarified their thoughts about the back-and-forth, from Trump’s tweet, “this Is how I would have phrased it? No. I think the President is a racist? No.” She added, “But I’ll come back to the core of why we even be talking about it – it is a crisis on our border.”
Murray, who grew up in Southeast Queens and worked for the city of Jamaica Bus Depot as a teenager, founded a TV production and advertising company called The Esemel group in the year 2004. She said her business generated employment for minorities in New York City. She said that she works for the company and is now a full-time mother.

The GOP primary will take place in June 2020.
Winning a Federal election in New York, 14th constituency would be a long shot for any Republican: In the year 2018, Ocasio-Cortez the GOP opponent, Anthony Pappas, won only 14 percent of the vote.
But Murray is still a Republican could win – even in a Democratically controlled district because of dissatisfaction with Ocasio-Cortez.
